Happy Hall Of Fame day for those who love baseball and sappy speeches just like me lol. So I've come to a crossroads since my stratfest. I'm ten games under .500 probably won't contend and even if I do, I'm still no where the manager I'm striving to be still being a novice. I finished strong actually winning a few games at the Deckerdome this time going with my guts and not my head. I've gotten some inquires about Cano and his availability. He's probably having the worse season in his career but his card right now can def put someone over the top. Knowing this and still being protected by the trade committee I think I'm gonna go with gut and look to shop him. I'm gonna want a substantial package in return. Since I'll probably need to replace him, fix my bullpen and some other areas. Email or text your best offers and I will look them all over. Also I'm on a vacation the first week of August so I'm looking squeeze a few games in and hopefully make the colonels strat fest as well. Hope you all have a great rest of your week.

Mmmm. Cano.
Truth be told, I think you're likely selling low on Robby. He's enduring his worst season by far in his career so you're unlikely to receive top value at this exact moment. I theorize that the family tragedy he went through in spring training has had a bigger impact on his performance this season than anything else. Cano can roll out of bed and get a hit. He's a professional hitter. Hitterish if you will. Safeco or no safeco Robby didn't suddenly forget how to hit this off season. He's been distracted. Preoccupied. I predict he will play better down the stretch and have a big bounce back next year. If that happens, and I'm no Nostradamus, but if that happens, Cano suddenly commands all you are asking for and more. I might advise going long on this stock.
Of course, I've been wrong before. See Reddick, Josh for example. I cut him. Ooops.
How goes the rookie campaign?

My point is proved. You will receive low ball offers since Robby is struggling. He's actually going fairly well vs rhp this season while struggling vs southpaws. That kind of sudden platoon split can be attributed to age. Papi has had ugly platoon splits more than once as he has aged but he has reversed course and rebounded more than once as well. Robby still has tremendous value going forward, in my opinion. Maybe just not during this recent offensive malaise. Take heart. Kipnis had a great card last year. An all but unplayable card this year and next year he looks like he's going to be a monster again. And Kipnis doesn't have half the pedigree of Cano. Patience is it's own reward.
